Rambling on the Trump-Ukraine fiasco

The Trump conversation with Zelensky regarding the investigation of Burisma and the Bidens has nothing to do with the 2016 election nor the 2020 upcoming elections.

It has to do with Ukraine corruption and the 'Orange Revolution' of 2004 where the election was rigged for Yanukovych. One of Yanukovych's cronies was Zlochevskiy, who was appointed as Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources and then as the Deputy Secretary of Economic and Social Security. Yanukovych was ousted in 2014 in the Ukrainian Revolution.

Zlochevskiy is the founder of Burisma, the largest oil and natural gas company in Ukraine. Burisma hired Hunter Biden in 2014, three months after the revolution.

Zlochevskiy fled the Ukraine at the end of 2014 under suspicion of self-enrichment while in office.

In 2015, Shokin was appointed Ukraine's Prosecutor General. He established an anti-corruption department. Shokin was accused of stalling investigations into Yanukovych's allies (such as Zlochevskiy). In February of 2016, Shokin raided the home of Zlochevskiy. Later that same month, a Burisma representative in the US (Blue Star Strategies) contacted the US State Department about the Burisma investigation.

In March, the then VP, Joe Biden, threatened to withhold $1 billion in US backed loans unless Shokin was fired. Later that month, Shokin was dismissed.
Shokin was going to be fired for NOT investigating Yanukovych's allies.

Zlochevskiy was a Yanukovych ally.
Zlochevskiy founded Burisma.
When Shokin began investigating Burisma, Biden had him fired, citing corruption.

THAT is why Burisma was being investigated for corruption and how Biden was directly involved.

truth matters

President Barack Obama had been on the job less than a week when a top economic adviser told him and Vice President Joe Biden that the country faced a trillion dollar deficit, Biden told a roomful of Florida supporters Saturday.
Vice-president Joe Biden - reported by TAMARA LUSH, Associated Press from FORT MYERS, Fla. 09/29/2012
At the height of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars in 2005, the deficit was $318 billion – about a quarter of what it is now. It fell every year until 2007, when it was back down to $161 billion. Then the voters, who’d been fed a steady anti-Bush media diet, decided to give Democrats another turn at bat and handed Congress and its budget-making power over to Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. The very next year, the deficit jumped back up to $459 billion. The year after that, Obama became President, and the deficit hit an all-time high of $1.4 trillion. True, Biden can argue that was partly Bush’s fault: he did start the TARP bailouts. But that was a one-time expenditure that’s since been paid back with interest. If there’s a good explanation for why it’s still Bush’s fault that the deficit has remained over $1.2 trillion throughout every year of Obama’s term, well… apparently, that excuse hasn’t dropped into anyone’s lap yet.

fear and lying in Flint Michigan

You know Pat Moynihan said everyone’s entitled to their own opinion, but they’re not entitled to their own facts. Let’s look at the facts. In 2008, when Flint had 265 sworn officers on the police force, there were 35 murders and 91 rapes in this city. In 2010, when Flint had only 144 police officers, the murder rate climbed to 65 and rapes — just to pick two categories — climbed to 229.
- Vice President Biden - October 12, 2011 - Flint, Michigan

I was up in Flint, Michigan, last week. Their police department’s cut more than in half. The murder rate, close to triple. The number of rapes have quadrupled. - Vice President Biden - October 18, 2011 - University of Pennsylvania

The FBI’s Uniform Crime Reports for those years show that the number of reported rapes declined from 103 in 2008 to 92 in 2010, or a nearly 11 percent drop.
- Factcheck.org

just for clarity, in 2009, Flint had 38 murders and 110 rapes... a 7% increase from 2008... and a 16% decrease from 2009 to 2010...

figures don't lie... liars sure do figure.

it's when you compare two things

Williams, perhaps best known for his "are you ready for some football?" lead-in to ESPN's Monday Night Football, Monday compared this summer's so-called golf summit between Obama and House Speaker John Boehner as "one of the biggest political mistakes ever."

As Williams put it on Fox News' Fox & Friends: "It would be like Hitler playing golf with (Israeli leader) Benjamin Netanyahu."

When asked on Fox to explain his analogy, Williams said Obama and Vice President Biden are "the enemy."
analogy (noun) - a form of reasoning in which one thing is inferred to be similar to another thing in a certain respect, on the basis of the known similarity between the things in other respects

i think i see why the media doesn't like what Bocephus said...
  1. it was a logical form of reasoning
  2. it called Obama (pbuh) "the enemy"
  3. it compared Obama to a fascist (one who wants a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc.)
  4. it compared Boehner to a jew (a group which oppresses the Palestenian people by their mere existance)
  5. the analogy was apt

silent screams

Biden approves of forced abortions and child murder... or does he even know what he's talking about?

Your policy has been one which I fully understand -- I’m not second-guessing -- of one child per family.
Remarks by Vice President Biden on U.S.-China Relations - August 21, 2011

Birth control has been compulsory in China since 1979 and the official government line that “coercion” is not permitted is flatly contradicted by the facts. Birth control is enforced through quotas allocated to each work or social unit (such as schools factories or villages) with local officials directly responsible for monitoring and enforcement. At a minimum, couples who have “above quota” face punitive action, including heavy fines and loss of employment. In reality, many local authorities resort to much more severe action, including forced abortions and forced sterilizations. Relatives of those accused of having too many children have been held as hostages until fines are paid or the pregnant woman agrees to have an abortion. “Above quota” newborn babies have reportedly been killed by doctors under pressure from officials and at-least one doctor who issued false sterilization certificates was given the death penalty.
Congressional-Executive Commission on China - Committee on Foreign Relations; United States Senate - Testimony By T. Kumar - September 11, 2003

Biden must have not known these facts... of course, he was the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations from 2001 through 2003... but, he wasn't the Chairman on the day Kumar gave this testimony... was he even present?

Biden made this statement while in China, after which he took questions from chinese students... i wonder what questions those missing children would have asked.

i have a question... how many more have to die?
